Sports and Culture

We have a large number of opportunities for children to be involved in weekend and school sports teams. This currently includes netball, hockey, volleyball, summer soccer, touch rugby, rippa rugby, basketball, and Tball/softball. Soccer and rugby are organized through the sports clubs.

Ball Sports

When sports become available each term, a signup sheet is given to the classes. If your child is interested in a particular sport they are encouraged to put their name on the list. These children then receive a permission slip with further information requiring a parent signature.

Please note we have time frames of when our teams have to be registered and for some sports trials are held. We therefore require notices back to the office or class teacher on the date specified. After this date, we are unable to accept registrations. We have a ‘’No Pay, No Play’’ policy and sports fees are due prior to the start of each sports season.

Physical Education

Every class will be operating a regular fitness programme along with other physical education activities. We encourage all children to be active in health and Physical activity including cross country, swimming in summer. A note from a parent/caregiver is required to excuse children who are not able to actively take part in any programmes.
